New 9-Hole Disc Golf Course Opens to the Public at The Range at KC
The free course gives Quincy-area residents another way to get outside, stay active and enjoy a casual round of disc golf during business hours.
QUINCY, Ill. Quincy-area residents looking for another reason to spend time outdoors now have a new option, as The Range at KC has announced the opening of a nine-hole disc golf course that is free and open to the public. 
The course is available during regular business hours and offers players a casual way to enjoy the outdoors without an admission fee.
According to an announcement from The Range at KC, visitors simply need to stop by the front desk when they arrive and let staff know they are there to play disc golf before heading out onto the course.
The addition gives both experienced players and newcomers another recreational option in the Quincy area. Disc golf follows many of the same basic principles as traditional golf, but players throw specialized flying discs toward elevated metal baskets rather than hitting a ball into a hole. 
The sport has become increasingly popular because it can be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, played individually or with friends and families, and requires relatively little equipment to get started.
With nine holes available, the new course is designed to offer a manageable round for people who may be trying the sport for the first time while still giving regular players another local place to practice.
