The Indoor Wild Brings Professional Plant Design and Care to Quincy Homes and Businesses
QUINCY, Ill. A new Quincy business is helping local homes and workplaces become a little greener, without requiring customers to become plant experts themselves.
The Indoor Wild is owned by husband-and-wife team Katie and Chris Droege, is a Quincy-based indoor plant design and care business created to help people bring living greenery into their spaces and keep it healthy over time.
Rather than operating from a traditional retail storefront, The Indoor Wild works directly with customers inside their homes and businesses. Services include plant selection, design and installation, ongoing plant care, repotting, pruning and assistance with plants that may be struggling.
For the Droege family, the business grew from a simple appreciation for plants and the atmosphere they can create.
“The inspiration behind The Indoor Wild is our love of plants and the atmosphere they create,” the owners said. “We want to make it easier for people to enjoy beautiful, living spaces, even if they don’t have the time, experience, or confidence to care for plants themselves.”
That can mean helping a local business create a more welcoming lobby or office, selecting plants that work well inside a homeowner’s particular space or providing some professional attention to an existing collection that needs a little help.
The Indoor Wild also offers plant rentals for events, giving organizations and individuals another option for incorporating greenery into gatherings without purchasing and maintaining the plants afterward.
Education is another part of the new business.
Katie and Chris offer hands-on plant workshops for community groups, workplaces and other organizations, providing an opportunity for participants to learn more about caring for plants while creating an interactive group experience.
For businesses considering whether plants could work in their offices or customer areas, The Indoor Wild offers a free business assessment to help explore possibilities for the space.
The company’s mobile service model allows it to focus on the places where customers actually want plants to live, whether that is a home, office, lobby or other commercial environment.
For those who love the look of thriving plants but have discovered that keeping them thriving can be another matter entirely, The Indoor Wild is hoping to take some of the guesswork out of indoor gardening.
